About the Minerva Forum

Welcome to the Minerva Forum. We are a nonpartisan think tank devoted to research and advocacy regarding the institutions and variables that undermine free, prosperous, and stable societies. Our mission is to highlight cultural and academic research that reflects truth, beauty, and goodness. We seek to publish high-quality and thoughtful academic papers, policy briefs, and essays that inform experts, policymakers, and the general public about ensuring the integrity of civilization and preserving humanity’s cultural inheritance.

When we refer to the institutions and variables that undermine free, prosperous, and stable societies, we are referring to various legal, economic, and cultural frameworks, with notable examples of such frameworks being private property rights, the rule of law, and the balance of powers. These frameworks are most certainly not upheld throughout the world, especially considering that various radical ideologies, which have gained prominence throughout the previous century as well as in recent years, actively seek to undermine such frameworks. Where they are upheld, we see great liberty, prosperity, and stability, while often simultaneously being taken for granted.

Similarly, we are also committed to the admiration and understanding of cultural forms that embody truth, beauty, and goodness. Although often viewed as distinct concepts, their close relationship, noted in philosophy from ancient Greece onward as the transcendentals, underscores what can be referred to as high culture. High culture is, in other words, culture that challenges us intellectually and spiritually by encouraging us to understand and reflect on the complex world we live in, to refine our tastes, and to become wise and morally virtuous individuals.

Our essays, which are available here on our website as well as Substack, are intended for the general public. These essays will cover a wide variety of topics, from the humanities to the social sciences, related to our mission and ideals. For policymakers and those with an academic background, our scholars’ relevant policy briefs and academic papers can be found on our website in the near future.

We invite you to visit our Substack and LinkedIn page and share our work with friends, family, and everyone you know who may be interested. We greatly appreciate your interest in our work and look forward to your continued engagement.
